Telephone Consultation
Many patients appreciate the option of speaking to a naturopathic doctor over the phone as many people have a hard time finding knowledgeable physicians who listen to what they are experiencing. You first visit with the doctor is in-person to establish the proper doctor-patient relationship with a thorough history and physical exam. Phone or webcam visits are acceptable thereafter if you live out of state or have to travel a long distance, although in-person visits are always in your best interest.
The price for in-office, phone, or computer based consultations is the same. As long as you have visited the doctor for your initial new patient visit, you may choose which type of follow-up visit works best for you given the doctor's recommendations and your treatment plan.
Computer-based Consultations
Skype is a web-based communications tool that enables two people to speak over their computers locally or globally free of charge. The doctor can speak to you wherever you are located from the comfort of your own home or office without having to travel to the doctor's office. If you have a webcam, then you will be able to have a live visit where you and the doctor can both see and hear one another. This technology allows for a more personal visit than a phone consultation and is well received by many patients.
Scheduling Appointments
New patient appointments are broken up into two visits, the first of which is in-office. The first lasts 1 ½ hours and the second, 1 hour. Follow up visits are usually 30 minutes. You may schedule your appointments online for easiest convenience. Free 10-miute consultations are available if you are considering becoming a new patient and have specific questions for the doctor before making your decision. Sending such questions in an email will be received and answered by the doctor within 24hrs. without having to schedule an appointment.
Ordering Supplements
If you need to reorder supplements, you may either fax or call in your order, and it will be shipped out immediately. It is necessary to have an active credit card number on file if you wish to have supplements sent out and/or you have a phone or web-based visit. You will receive a confirmation email when you order has been shipped. You may also stop by the office and pick up your order if you pre-order over fax or phone. Naturapathic care is specialized and customized and is not typically covered by insurance. However you may submit your paperwork to your insurance company and often times be reimbursed up to the full amount of your visit.
If you can not make your appointment please try to call 24 hours in advance so your appointment time can be offered to another patient and to avoid a late cancellation fee.
